51st Circuit Court sentencings, posted July 16, 2021. 

LUDINGTON —The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court: 

Gerbers-Boyd

– Elsie Jonelle Gerbers-Boyd, 44, of 2633 W. Chauvez Rd., Riverton Township, was found guilty on July 6, 2021 on the charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, third offense and was sentenced to one year probation and 60 hours of community service with credit for one day of jail served; $1,248 in fines and fees. A second county of operating a vehicle with a suspended license was dismissed without prejudice. 

Harrison

– Cody Alan Harrison, 36, of 6504 Duneview Dr., Hamlin Township, was found guilty on July 6, 2021 on two charges of resisting/obstructing/assaulting a police officer and one county of disturbing the peace. Sentencing was delayed until July 13, 2022 with Harrison being placed under the supervision of the Michigan Department of Corrections. A count of trespassing was dismissed. 

– Roger Lee Johnson, 39, of 7822 E. Dewey Road, Sheridan Township, was found guilty on April 8, 2021 of possession of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to 12 months probation and $658 in fines and fees. 

Simerson

– Dale Skyler Simerson, 42 of 407 S. Harrison St., Ludington, was found guilty on May 4, 2021 for assaulting/resisting/obstruction a police officer; habitual offender, second offense, and was sentenced to 18 months to three years imprisonment with credit for 234 days served; $198 in fines and fees. He was also found guilty on Feb. 5, 2019 of sex offender, failure to comply and was sentenced to 15 months to seven years imprisonment with 506 days credit for time served and $358 in fines and fees. A charge of habitual offender, second offense, was dropped.

Petroski

– Donald Leroy Petroski, 33, of 2913 7th Street, Muskegon Heights, was found guilty on May 18, 2021 of retail fraud first degree, habitual offender, fourth offense, and sentenced to two to 30 years imprisonment; 1,067.98 in fines and fees. 

Myers

– Jenna Dianne Myers, 27, of 1245 N. LaSalle Road, Amber Township, was found guilty on May 5, 2021 for jail-prisoner possessing, and was sentenced to 12 months probation with credit for one day served in jail; $858 in fines and fees. 

Beetz

– Ethan Thomas Beetz, 22, of 183 N. Meyers Road, Amber Township, was found guilty on April 6, 2021 and was sentenced for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and was sentenced to 24 months probation with credit for one day served in jail; $683 in fines and fees. 

Rangel

– Joseph Guadelupe Rangel, 39, of 5757 N. Victory Park Road, Victory Township, was found guilty on May 4, 2021 for resisting/obstructing/assaulting a police officer, operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI), second offense, driving with an open alcohol container (pleaded no contest on all three counts), and was sentenced to one day in jail, with credit for one day served; 12 months probation; $1,333 in fines and fees; immobilization or forfeiture of vehicle. Additional counts of OWI, third offense and resisting/obstructing/assaulting a police officer, were dismissed.
