Scottville man charged with 3 counts of rape.

SCOTTVILLE — A Scottville man has been arrested by Scottville Police Department and charged with three counts of rape. Tommy Bruce Lemire, 61, of 125 W. Broadway Ave., was arrested Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020. He was arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court on two counts of criminal sexual conduct first degree and criminal sexual conduct second degree. 

According to Scottville Police Chief Matt Murphy, the department has been investigating the case since June, which involves a female under the age of 16.

CSC first degree is punishable by a term of 25 years to life imprisonment while CSC second degree is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment.

Bail was set at $50,000 cash/surety. Lemire remains lodged in the Mason County Jail.
