Felony drunk driving tops recent arraignments

LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felonies

Barrette

-Andrew Lawrence Barrette, 57, of 105 W. Melendy St., Ludington, was arrested Sept. 10 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) on a felony charge of third offense operating a vehicle while under the influence of liquor (OUIL) and driving while license suspended (DWLS). Probable cause hearing: Sept. 23 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $10,000 cash.

Misdemeanors

-Brian Felix Vaillancourt, 26, of 406 N. Staffon St., Ludington; Sept. 10; Ludington Police Department (LPD); operating a vehicle with a high blood alcohol content (over .17), operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle. Pretrial: Oct. 12 at 9 a.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

-Daniel Christian Giddings, 35, of 5010 Washington St., Midland; July 18; operating a boat while under the influence of liquor. Pretrial: TBD. Bail: $2,500 personal recognizance. 

-Michael Arthur Sagers, 65, of 5105 Millerton Rd., Sheridan Township; July 26; Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO); assault and battery. Pretrial: Sept. 28 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500 personal recognizance. 

-Bobby Earl Harris, 35, of 109 E. Foster St., Ludington; Sept. 13; LPD; public intoxication. Pretrial: Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. Bail: $2,500 personal recognizance. 

-Michael Allen Maile, 19, of 203 E. Melendy St., Apt. 2, Ludington; Mar. 10; Scottville Police Department; embezzlement. Pretrial: TBD. Bail: $250 cash.

-Larry James Dyer, 59, of 3630 Holton Duck Lake Rd., Twin Lake; Sept. 15; MCSO; second offense domestic violence. Pretrial: Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.
