79th District Court sentencings and dismissals, posted Sept. 11, 2020

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:
-Kathleen Ann Kaatz, 65, of 4570 E. Fisher Rd., Sherman Township, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OWIL) and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; no controlled substances without a prescription; subject to random PBTs; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).
-Kelli Ann Busk, 40, of 108 E. Filer St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $595 in fines/costs.
-Jacob Caine Cornwall, 28, of 6465 W. Forest Edge Dr., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to OWIL and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.
-Douglas Carl Elvisaa Benavides, 27, of 503 N. Rath Ave., Apt. 2, Ludington, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to disturbing the peace and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail for six months; no contact with the victim; and $285 in fines/costs.
-Tyler David Wicklund, 37, of 807 W. Loomis St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Sept. 9 to disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; 40 hours of community service; no contact with the victim; and $285 in fines/costs.
-Austin Michael McDonald, 22, of 5370 Harvest Ct., Bay City, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to OWIL and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must have a substance abuse evaluation; must attend victim’s impact panel; must complete alcohol highway safety education; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.
-Vicki Lynn Nelson, 69, of 503 E. First St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to larceny of trees and shrubs worth $100 and was sentenced to 30 days discretionary jail for six months and $110 in fines/costs.
-Morgan Faith Johnson, 24, of 4183 Mary Rd., Wellston, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for five days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $320 in fines/costs.
-Alicia Lynne McCarthy, 38, of 5417 N. Budzynski Rd., Sheridan Township, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $595 in fines/costs. May perform 60 hours of community service in lieu of paying fines/costs.
-Joseph Gerard Cordes, 55, of 5857 N. Benson Rd., Sheridan Township, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to assault and battery and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victim; and $595 in fines/costs.
-Mark Allen Zimmer, 48, of 597 S. Tyndall Rd., Branch Township, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to malicious destruction of personal property and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victim; must obtain anger management counseling; and $595 in fines/costs.
-Donald Thomas Miller, 32, of 926 N. Rath Ave., Ludington, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to public intoxication and was sentenced to 14 days in jail with credit for 14 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $285 in fines/costs.
-Todd Andrew Gerardot, 33, of 99 W. Forest Trail Rd., Grant Township, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; no controlled substances without a prescription; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must attend a substance use disorder program; and $1,095 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.
-Jade Free-Spirit-Bear Pelcher, 29, of 253 S. Chippewa Rd., Mt. Pleasant, pleaded guilty Sept. 9 to aggravated domestic assault and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must have substance abuse evaluation; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $815 in fines/costs.
-Mark Allen Munn, 53, of 706 Dexter St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to disorderly drunk person and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for two years; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must attend AA two times per month for two years; must attend rehab program and aftercare; and $285 in fines/costs. Charges of trespassing and attempted assault/resisting/obstructing police were dropped.
Dismissals
-Jadisen Robert Robinson, 17, of 404 E. Sixth St., Ludington, had a charge of larceny between $200-$1,000 dismissed after being acquitted during a bench trial o Sept. 4.
-Jeffery Allen Keller, 31, of 6586 W. Dewey Rd., Hamlin Township, had charges of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) and operating an unregistered vehicle dismissed without prejudice on Sept. 4 as part of plea agreement. According to court records, the defendant agreed to plead guilty to a civil infraction of having no proof of insurance.
