Great Start Collaborative Parent Coalitions to host parent café

AMBER TWP. – The Great Start Parent Coalition will host a Tri-County Parent Café on Friday, March 15th from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Ramada Inn of Ludington.

Parent Cafés are open to parents/caregivers of children ages 0 to 12 in our tri-county area. At this time, registration slots are full for Lake County parents, but slots are still available for parents residing in Mason or Oceana counties. The café will give parents the opportunity to hear other’s thoughts, concerns and ideas as well as share their own experiences; and allow parents the chance to meet with other parents to work toward solutions and build support for one another.

Guest speaker will be Lisa Cooper presenting on “Development of Temperament: Roots of the Parent/Child Relationship.” A café style discussion on Love & Logic will follow the presentation.

There is no charge for this event and refreshments will be provided. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

The Great Start Parent Coalitions are part of the Mason-Lake-Oceana Great Start Collaborative which works to assure a coordinated system of community resources and support to help all families in the tri-county area provide a great start for their children from pre-birth to age five.
