LUDINGTON — The following activity took place recently in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felony arraignment:

Herring

Carl Lee Herring, 29, of 206 1/2 E. Danaher St., Ludington, was arrested April 14, 2020 by Michigan State Police – Hart Post, and charged with tampering with an electronic monitoring device, habitual offender. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on April 29. Bail was set at $2,500, personal recognizance.

Misdemeanor arraignment:

Clayton Alan Kitchens, 27, 5955 W. Shagway Road, Hamlin Township, was arrested April 16, 2020, by Michigan State Police – Hart Post and charged with domestic violence. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on May 11, 2020. Bail set at $2,500, personal recognizance.

Sentencing:

Michael Sadecki, Jr., 55, of 1174 Princeton Road, Berkley, Mich., was found guilty on April 17, 2020 for disorderly conduct/disturbing the peace. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served, 90 days discretionary jail for one year. plus $285 in fines and costs, 12 months probation.
