LASD announces breakfast, lunch distribution during cancelation.

LUDINGTON — Ludington Area School District will be providing breakfast and lunch options to students during the state-mandated shut down between March 16 and April 3.

The district has established locations through the school district where transportation and food service employees will be available. Both a grab and go style lunch and breakfast will be provided. Weekend food backpacks will also be available, but will need to be picked up at the Central Business Office, 809 E. Tinkham Avenue (this information had previously stated Lakeshore Food Club). The district is also exploring a partnership with a local restaurant.

  • Lakeview Elementary, 11 to 11:25 a.m.
  • Foster Elementary, 11:30 to 11:55 a.m.
  • Pere Marquette Early Childhood Center, noon to 12:25 p.m.
  • Tamarac Village main entrance, Hamlin Township, 11 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Hamlin Township Hall, 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
  • Days Inn, 7576 S. Pere Marquette Township, Summit Township, 11 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Indian Summer Co-op parking lot, Brye and Chauvez roads, Riverton Township, 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m

Plans are also being made by Mason County Central for meal distribution. That information will be posted when it becomes available.
