Auto theft charge tops recent 79th District Court arraignments

LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:
Felonies
-Geni Brandy Martinez, 43, of 143 N. Jebavy Dr., Apt. 5, Pere Marquette Township, was arrested Feb. 20 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) on felony charges of unlawfully driving away a motor vehicle and driving while license suspended (DWLS). Probable cause hearing: March 4 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.
-Nicholas Francis Kawula, 33, of 316 S. Division St., Whitehall, was arrested Dec. 14 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on a felony charge of operating a vehicle under the influence causing death. Probable cause hearing: March 4 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.
MisdemeanorsÂ
-Danyel Rebecca Horsley, 32, homeless; Feb. 19; Michigan State Police (MSP); second degree retail fraud and disturbing the peace. Pretrial: Feb. 24 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.
-Luis Miguel Flores-Rodriguez, 40, of 304 E. State St., Scottville; Feb. 16; MSP; operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI). Pretrial: March 9 at 9 a.m. Bail: $250 cash.
-Krista Michele Rodriguez, 43, of 726 N. Meyers Rd., Amber Township; Feb. 14; MCSO; domestic violence. Pretrial: March 16 at 9 a.m. Bail: $250 cash.
-Travis Kyle Palmer, 32, of 4063 Sawgrass Trl., Muskegon; Feb. 24; LPD; DWLS. Pretrial: March 2 at 2 p.m. Bail: $1,500/10 percent.
