Scottville expected to renew mowing contract with Larsens

February 18, 2013

SCOTTVILLE — The Scottville City Commission is expected to renew its cemetery mowing contract tonight with Larsen’s Landscaping of Victory Township.

The contract with Larsen’s Landscaping expired on Dec. 31, 2012. City Manager Amy Williams wrote to the commission, in a pre-meeting report, that last spring the commission chose to renew the contract with Larsen’s rather than bidding it out as in 2011. When it was last bid the only one we received was from Larsen’s.

“I’ve spoken to Larsen’s this week and they would once again hold their pricing at the current level which is $298 per mowing and $1,195 for leaf removal,” Williams said. “I should further note that these prices haven’t been increased for at least four years, which is greatly appreciated. Larsen’s has done a great job keeping up the cemetery and also donate their time into other projects around Scottville.

Williams is recommending the city renew its contract again with Larsen’s.
