MCC board to consider new teachers, meal price increases.
SCOTTVILLE — The Mason County Central Board of Education is expected to approve the hiring of two new teachers when it meets in regular session tonight.
Matthew Millspaugh is being hired as a new high school science teacher while Amy Cronk is being hired as a middle school science teacher.
Millspaugh most recently taught at Mason County Eastern Schools while Cronk most recently taught for Manistee Area Public Schools. Both reside in Mason County.
According to a communication from the board from Superintendent Jeff Mount, Cronk’s hiring means that each grade level in the middle school will now have a science teacher while Millspaugh’s hiring will allow the school to better meet the newly adopted Science Standard’s and Curriculum.
