Felony assault tops recent arraignments.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felonies

Johnson

-Brooks Aaron Johnson, 37, of 702 N. Emily St., Ludington, was arrested July 14 by Michigan State Police (MSP) on a felony charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm. Johnson was also arraigned on a misdemeanor charge of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) stemming from an arrest by MSP on July 3. Probable cause hearing: July 24 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $10,000 cash/surety.

Beetz

-Ethan Thomas Beetz, 20, 0f 183 N. Meyers Rd., Pere Marquette Township, was arrested March 19 by the State, Sheriff, and City Enforcement of Narcotic Team (SSCENT) on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy). Probable cause hearing: July 17 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.
