Busy week in district court

LUDINGTON – The 79th District Court was busy last week. Below are the sentences as reported on Thursday, Dec. 14.

  • Richard Paul Hernandez, 28, 417 N. Lewis St., Ludington, was found guilty on Dec. 12 of Driving While License Suspended/Revoked/Denied. Sentence: 2 days in jail with 93 days discretionary jail for 1 year, plus $285 in fines.

  • William James Billo, 27, 3939 W. Deren Rd., Hamlin Twp., was found guilty on Dec. 13 for Failure to Report an Accident. Sentence: $325 in fines, paid $50 per week.

  • John Wayne Mulligan, 45, 239 Gibson Rd., Branch Twp., was found guilty on Dec. 13 for Possession of Undersized Fish. Sentence: $220 fines.

  • Lindsay Jean Castonia, 29, 402 Fourth St., Ludington, was found guilty on Dec. 11 for Retail Fraud Second Degree. Sentence: 1 year discretionary jail, must abide by all conditions of circuit court probation and treatment programs of community mental health. Sentence runs concurrent with circuit court matters.

  • Amy Elizabeth Maurer, 44, 159 Wildwood Trail, Apt. 11, Amber Twp., was found guilty on Dec. 4 for Refusal of Preliminary Breathalyzer Test. Fine: $100. She was also found guilty on Dec. 4 for Attempted Assault/Resisting/Obstruction of a Police Officer. Sentence: 1 day jail with 90 days discretionary jail for 1 year, $160 fines, outpatient treatment; Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. Sentence: 1 day jail, 90 days discretionary jail for 2 years, must attend Victims Impact Panel, subject to random PBTs by police officer, outpatient treatument, $1,245 in fines.

  • James Paul McGrane, 55, 1269 Fleming Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty on Dec. 11 for Open Intoxicant in a Vehicle/Passenger. Sentence: $260 fine.

  • Shane Thomas Wardlow, 31, 906 N. Washington Ave., Apt. 16, Ludington, was found guilty on Dec. 4 for Malicious Destruction of Personal Property. Sentence: 1 year discretionary jail for 2 years, $125 fines.

  • Scott Aaron Hanson, 32, 805 E. Loomis St., Ludington, was found guilty on Dec. 4 for Operating a Vehicle While Impaired by Liquor. Sentence: 1 day jail with 93 days discretionary jail for 1 year, $1,145 fines, outpatient treatment.

  • Alan Kent Wilson, 49, 3340 Halls Lane, Ludington, was found guilty on Dec. 4 for Operating a Vehicle While Impaired by Liquor. Sentence: 3 days jail with 93 days discretionary jail for 2 years, $1,145 fines.

  • Matthew Ryan Millspaugh, 41, 5879 Pleasant Ridge Rd., Ludington, was found guilty on Dec. 4 for Moving Violation Causing Death. Sentence: 1 year discretionary jail for 2 years, must perform 150 hours community service, $580 fines.

  • Jason Anthony Locke, 41, 4499 Cline Rd., Fruitport, was found guilty on Dec. 10 of Allowing a Person to Drive in Violation. Sentence: 90 days discretionary jail for 1 year, $335 fines.

  • – Gavin Ray Routh, 17, 525 N. Lasalle Rd., Amber Twp., was found guilty on Nov. 29 of Minor Using/Possessing Tobacco. Sentence: 19 hours community service by Dec. 31.

  • Scott Michael Butler, 50, 309 1/2 Fifth St., Ludington, was found guilty on Nov. 30 of Failure to Display a Valid License. Sentence: $275.
