Secondary English Second Language/Migrant Teacher
Qualifications:
Must hold valid MI teaching credentials
Prefer ELA or Math certification
Prefer ESL endorsement or willingness to obtain *assistance with obtaining endorsement available
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and provide instruction in English that meets local, state and federal standards for English acquisition
Administer academic and language assessments for the purpose of evaluating student progress for meeting academic learning targets and progress in English language acquisition
Maintain complete and accurate records of student progress and evidence of academic growth adapt curriculum to provide individual, small group, and/or remedial instruction as to meet the needs of individual students and subgroups of students
Provide core content area teachers with accommodations and strategies for EL and migrant students
Attend local, regional and state in-service trainings as needed
Complete accurate and timely reports and assist in completing state and federal forms Assist in referring parents to community agencies and programs for needed resources
Location: Middle School
Estimated Starting Date: As soon as filled
Reports to: Building Principal and Migrant/Title III Coordinator
Salary: As determined by the Hart Board of Education
