SCOTTVILLE — Maybe you’re already a beekeeper but you’d like a refresher course to move comfortably into spring. Perhaps you’re a newbee or even a wannabee considering getting started for the first time. You may have friends or neighbors interested in beekeeping, for the sake of these vital pollinators and healthy honey-makers, the Scottville Beekeepers help each other catch the buzz!

Sessions will include all detailed information needed to get started as a beekeeper in Michigan including bee biology, nutrition, habitat, equipment assembly and bee handling methodology

Mason County Bee Supplies will demo equipment and provide a special discount to attendees

Pure honey from local beekeepers will be available for purchase

Scottville Beekeepers meet regularly on the third Thursday of each month for on-going support throughout the season

Bee School will be held on Saturday, March 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Scottville Area Senior Center, 140 S. Main St. It is free and open to all ages.
