New Year’s baby delivered at Spectrum.

LUDINGTON — Charlotte Grace (Adams) Miller is the first baby born at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital in 2018, becoming Mason County’s New Year baby on January 1, just a couple of hours into the new year.
Parents Stephanie Adams and Spencer Miller of Pentwater welcomed Charlotte Grace at 2:15 a.m. Charlotte weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and measured 21.5 inches.
Charlotte was delivered by Margaret Gustafson, MD, of Ludington, assisted by nurses Valarie Gustafson and Erica Tucker. Her attending physician while in the hospital is pediatrician Teresa Kovas, MD.
The family received a collection of gifts to celebrate Charlotte Grace as the Ludington Hospital’s first baby of the year. Gifts included a safe sleep sack provided to each new mom and baby by the local hospital foundation, a knit cap from hospital volunteers and a basket of treats from nutrition services. In addition they received a package of diapers, a case of formula and a gift basket from the hospital. The basket contained blankets, towels, toys, clothing and other items.
