Gold Coast Chorale auditions at WSCC.
VICTORY TOWNSHIP — West Shore Community College is assembling a select group of singers to participate in the college’s newest vocal ensemble, the Gold Coast Chorale.
Auditions will be held on Dec. 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the college’s choir room located in the Arts and Sciences Center. The ensemble will rehearseon Monday nights from 6 to 8 p.m.
The audition process will consist of a 60 second prepared piece along with vocal and sight reading exercises. Each audition should take approximately five to eight minutes.
The Gold Coast Chorale will focus on singing a wide range of choral repertoire with an emphasis on contemporary choral literature.
“It is our vision to see this ensemble promote a deeper love of singing at the college, in our local schools and within our communities. We desire to set the standard of choral excellence and be at the forefront of choral artistry by drawing from our communities finest singers. If you are a dedicated college, high school or community vocalist, we want to hear you,” said Eliot Plummer who will be directing the chorale.
