LUDINGTON — A 22-year-old Ludington man faces serving six months up front of one-year discretionary jail term after pleading guilty in 51st Circuit Court Thursday, Sept. 7, to a felony of second-degree home invasion and a misdemeanor of domestic violence.
Marcus Moses Zamora, of 507 N. Harrison St., initially faced charges of first-degree home invasion, second-offense marijuana possession and assault and battery. Those charges were dismissed in a plea deal.
Zamora’s sentence will also include probation and a substance abuse evaluation, said Mason County Prosecutor Paul Spaniola. He will be ordered to follow the recommendations of the evaluation.
Zamora testified that he pushed his ex-girlfriend out of the way when he barged into her home.
Sentencing is set for Oct. 31 at 3 p.m.
