LUDINGTON — A 52-year-old Southfield, Michigan man was sentenced to serve 78 days up front of a one-year discretionary jail term, with credit for 78 days served, for identity theft Tuesday, Sept. 5, in 51st Circuit Court.

Lloyd Anthony Andrews pleaded guilty to identity theft and third-offense habitual offender last June. In exchange for his guilty plea, an additional count of identity theft was dismissed.

He was arrested last May by the Ludington Police Department after using a Mason County resident’s personal info to obtain utilities for his Southfield apartment, previously stated Mason County Prosecutor Paul Spanniola.

Judge Susan K. Sniegowski also sentenced Andrews to two years probation and $1,807.22 in restitution.
