SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP — Troopers from Michigan State Police Hart Post and deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate a recent home invasion that occurred around 6:14 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 5105 N Birch Avenue. Preliminary investigation revealed that the homeowner arrived at the summer cottage to find a male and female inside. The homeowner provided a statement that the male subject was a distant relative who was not authorized to be at the venue, according to a press release from MSP.
After several interviews with family members and neighbors, the male and female have been identified as being Gregory Scott Roberts, 24, of Hopkins and Sharilyn Taylor Munn, 23, of Grand Rapids.
Roberts was last seen wearing a dark blue short-sleeve shirt and dark colored shorts. He is about 6-feet, 1-inch tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. Munn, who is routinely referred to as Taylor by friends, was last seen wearing a salmon or orange colored short-sleeve shirt. The color of her shorts were not immediately known according to witnesses in the area. She is about 5-feet, 8- inches tall and weighs approximately 125 pounds.
The couple have been known to frequent the greater Fountain area, as well as portions of Riverton Township. State and county law enforcement officials ask that people keep their doors locked and call 911 if they see someone matching the descriptions, or see any suspicious activity. The couple are not believed to be armed at this time and are considered people of interest in the investigation.
Any witnesses to the break-in or anyone who has any information is asked to contact the Michigan State Police Hart Post at (231) 873-2171.
