Positive outcome for vandalized mural

January 10, 2012

LUDINGTON — A positive outcome has come after a downtown Ludington mural was vandalized Monday. Paint had been splashed on the mural that hangs on the north side of Brenda’s Harbor Cafe on South James Street. But, a Pentwater-based sign company was able to remove the paint without damaging the mural, according to the mural’s creator, Therese Soles of Amber Twp.

“It’s amazing that they were able to fix it,” Soles told MCP.net. Soles painted the mural in 2010. It took her two months to finish it.

Brenda’s Cafe owner Brenda Cole is offering a $250 reward for information that leads to the arrest of those involved with the crime.
