Inmate receives concurrent term for meth possession.

LUDINGTON — A 24-year-old Ravenna man serving a two to 15 year prison sentence for operating/maintaining a meth lab in Newaygo County was sentenced Tuesday, Feb. 16, in 51st Circuit Court to a concurrent prison term of one-and-a-half to 10 years in prison for a meth possession conviction.

Donald Ray Picklesimer III, who received credit for 544 days served, pleaded guilty to the meth possession charge in Mason County last December.

Picklesimer was sentenced in Newaygo County last May stemming from an August 2014 offense, according to the Offender Tracking Information System (OTIS).

His Mason County conviction stems from an Aug. 19, 2013 incident, according to his testimony last December, which resulted in his eventual arrest by the State, Sheriffs’, Chiefs’ Enforcement of Narcotics Team (SSCENT).

“I would like to apologize for the actions that took place that morning,” Picklesimer said during his sentencing.
