LUDINGTON — Cash, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office’s K9 dog, recently received a special gift from a concerned citizen. Thanks to a $1,200 donation from Carol Broderick, Cash now has a ballistic/stab vest and harness, which cost $1,197. Cash is a 4-year-old Dutch Shepard that serves the MCSO in drug detection and tracking. The donation was made in 2015 but the vest just arrived last week. To thank Broderick for the gift, Deputy Ken Baum and Sheriff Kim Cole presented her a portrait of Cash, compliments of Alway Photography.
