Registration for Lakeshore Children’s Chorus

Mason County, MI, August, 2012.  The 2012 summer session of the Lakeshore Children’s Chorus has ended.  Current chorus members have a three-week hiatus and will start back up again on September 19^th with rehearsals every Wednesday from 4:00pm – 5:00pm at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts, 107 S. Harrison Street, Ludington, MI 49431.

Registration is now open for the Lakeshore Children’s Chorus Fall Season.  Registration can be done by calling the Center at 231-845-2787.

The Lakeshore Children’s Chorus is an opportunity offered through the Ludington Area Center for the Arts. Started in January 2012, the chorus has enjoyed performances at the Ludington Library’s dedication ceremony for the new children’s wing, the Arts Center VIP reception and at Friday Night Live and has received gracious donations from West Shore Community College’s Community Choir, Ludington Optimists and patrons of the Blue Moon Bistro.

Choirs are directed by Ludington musician Paula Jury Jarvis, are designed to give kids from Mason, Oceana, Manistee and Lake Counties an additional opportunity to experience and enjoy music, make new friends from other schools, and represent our community through performances.

Tuition for the Lakeshore Children’s Chorus is $5 per week with multiple child discounts. Scholarships will be made available, so all interested children should register. There is no audition process as this is an opportunity open to all children who love to sing.
