CUSTER TOWNSHIP — Katie Drake is worried about her missing 15-year-old son. Jessie Colin Reid ran away after the Western Michigan Fair Saturday, August 15, and hasn’t been seen since.
“We haven’t heard from him or anything about his whereabouts,” Katie said. “He has taken off before because he was mad and didn’t want to be grounded or didn’t agree with home rules. He’s always come back or been found within 12 hours. When he called me Saturday night, it wasn’t from a blocked phone, but from a friend’s and he had said he wasn’t coming home and he had something important to do.
“He wasn’t mad or in trouble, and we have found no evidence he was planning on taking off.”
Jessie is white, 5-foot 9-inches tall with brown hair. His date of birth is Sept. 30, 1999. He was last seen wearing a black cut-off shirt with yellow “D Three Racing” imprinted on the shirt. He was wearing jeans, his mother said (previously reported that he was wearing shorts) with new black and white converse shoes.
Anyone with information regarding Jessie’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
