House of Flavors will donate to charities for votes in best ice cream shop competition.

Barry scoops ice cream behind the counter that’s lined with visitors during the summer.

LUDINGTON — House of Flavors Restaurant of Ludington and Manistee are in the top 4 of the WZZM best ice cream shops pole, which ends on July 17. Owner Barry Neal said he is very appreciative of the votes HOF has received but needs help in taking first place.

“We feel your love and we are going to put that love into action,” Neal said. “Ludington House of Flavors will donate 10 cents per vote to five local non-profits working to make our community better.”

Those organizations include Sandcastle’s Children’s Museum, Lakeshore Animal Friends, Hospitality INC, Ludington Area Center for the Arts, and COVE.

“We want to pay it forward.”
