LUDINGTON — Sandcastles Children’s Museum is now in full summer mode. The museum will be closed on July 4 but will host Stardogs Astronomy on Friday, July 3, with “Our Amazing Universe.” Kids will learn about the universe through the fun and interactive presentation.
On Sunday, July 5, the museum will be open from noon to 4 p.m.
Monday, July 6, will feature spray bottle painting as part of the weekly Messy Monday series.
Wednesday, July 8 and Thursday, July 9 will be the museum’s first stop motion animation workshop. Children will learn to put together a story by taking still photographs and turning them into a video. Every child will take home a DVD of the video they made.
Registeration can take place at the museum’s front desk today as space is limited in this free educational workshop brought to the museum by a grant from Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
The museum, located at 129 E. Ludington Ave., is open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
