Ludington man arrested for intent to deliver marijuana.

LUDINGTON — A 38-year-old Ludington man was arrested Tuesday and charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana. The arrest followed an investigation that began in the fall of 2014. The State, Sheriff’s, Chief’s, Enforcement Narcotics Team (SSCENT) and the Ludington Police Department made the arrest at a residence in the 100 block of East Whittier Street.

According to a press release from the Michigan State Police Hart Post, a search warrant was executed and detectives located an undisclosed amount of marijuana and items used to distribute marijuana. The man is currently being held in the Mason County Jail awaited arraignment. Additional charges may be authorized after a review from the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office. Possession with intent to deliver marijuana is a felony punishable by up to four years in prison and/or a $20,000 fine.

The man’s name is being withheld pending arraignment.
