LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:
– James Shannon Harvard, 43, of 285 Beaver Dam Rd., Lucedale, Miss., was found guilty June 11 of driving while license suspended (DWLS). He was sentenced to one day jail with credit for one day served and $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
– Gary Martin Ventrice, Jr., 33, of 4899 N. Ford Lake Rd., Fountain, was found guilty June 3 of driver transporting open intoxicants. He was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days served; 90 days discretionary jail for two years; must remain on Soberlink for six more months; subject to random drug tests and preliminary breath tests (PBTs); and $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Jeannette Arlene Harris, 56, of 418 E. US-10, Scottville, was found guilty June 3 of third-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; $580 in fines and costs or 58 hours of community service; and 93 days discretionary jail.
– John Anthony Daniels, 56, of 3417 Heather Dr., York, Penn., was found guilty June 3 of operating while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $1,145 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend the next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Pamela Sue Arthur, 45, of 302 N. Rowe, Apt. 1, Ludington, was found guilty June 3 of assault and battery. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no contact with victim; and $580 in fines and costs.
– Raquel Angela Lopez, 22, of 143 N. Jebavy Dr., Apt. 7, Ludington, was found guilty June 10 of third-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; and a $125 fee.
– Kasey James Cogle, 23, of 1542 E. Fulburn Rd., Scottville, was found guilty June 10 of operating while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $1,145 in fines and costs; outpatient treatment; must complete Victims’ Impact Panel; and 93 days discretionary jail for two years. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Ann Louise Kasley, 48, of 1008 Monona Dr., Ludington, was found guilty June 3 of third-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $580 in fines and costs; and 93 days discretionary jail for one year.
– Donald Thomas Miller, 25, of 508 E. Danaher St., Ludington, was found guilty June 3 of DWLS. He was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and $580 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. In a separate case, Miller was found guilty of defrauding an innkeeper. He was sentenced to six days in jail with credit for six days served; 90 days discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $635.98 in fines, costs and restitution.
– Lisa Marie Vasquez, 52, of 6621 W. Ann St., Ludington, was found guilty June 3 of third-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; 46 hours community service within six months; must attend the Economic Crime Program; and a $125 fine.
– Dustin James Horn, 19, of 407 E. Melendy St., Ludington, was found guilty June 3 of defrauding an innkeeper. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 30 days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $635.98 in fines, costs and restitution. One count of controlled substance, possession of marijuana was dismissed.
– Wendy Lou Griffin, 44, of 308 ½ W. Court St., Ludington, was found guilty May 30 of disorderly person, public intoxication. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $285 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; and must continue counseling with Community Mental Health.
– Martin Daniel George, 50, of 3186 Winter St., Saginaw, was found guilty June 5 of open intoxicants in a vehicle/passenger. He was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Michael Scott O’Brien, 44, of 3079 N. Tuttle Rd., Scottville, was found guilty May 22 of of open intoxicants in a vehicle/passenger. He was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– William Louis Mears, 48, of 2496 E. Sugar Grove Rd., Custer, was found guilty May 22 of failure to display a valid license and sentenced to 25 hours of community service in lieu of costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Tiffany Anne Hendrickson, 21, of ℅ 209 N. Rath Ave., Ludington, was found guilty May 19 of allowing a person to drive in violation. She was sentenced to $335 in fines and costs and 30 days discretionary jail for one year.
– Adam James-John Johnson, 26, of 717 N. Harrison, Ludington, was found guilty of driving while license expired. He was sentenced to $225 in fines and costs and 90 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Dismissal
– Anthony James Calkin, 57, of 117 E. Sauble Dr., Free Soil, two counts of assault/assault and battery were dismissed June 3. “Defendant’s case worker and Community Mental Health are arranging an alternate housing placement as opposed to criminal prosecution at this time,” court records state.
