One injured following crash on Sugar Grove

SHERMAN TWP. — A 76-year-old Fountain man received minor injuries after his vehicle collided with a tree Thursday afternoon. The crash occurred on Sugar Grove Road near Darr Road.

A witness said he was following the eastbound gray Jeep Grand Cherokee when he saw cross the centerline, leave the roadway and strike a tree around 4:45 p.m.

The man was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by Life EMS ambulance. Also responding were Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Scottville Fire Dept. and Custer Fire Dept.
