Several crashes over the weekend

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office and area fire departments responded to several crashes over the weekend, some resulting in injuries. It also made several arrests. The following is the report of the MCSO from Jan. 17 to 19, 2014:

Jan. 17:

– 6:08 a.m.: Gas drive-off, $88.04, 5400 block of West U.S. 10, Pere Marquette Twp.

– Gas drive-off, $20.11, 5400 block of West U.S. 10, PM Twp.

– 6:43 a.m.: One vehicle crash, minor injuries, U.S. 31 and Free Soil Rd., Grant Twp.; 36-year-old Custer woman was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by Life EMS where she was treated for minor injuries. Grant Twp. and Free Soil/Meade fire departments responded.

– 8:36 a.m.: Gas drive-off, $12.10, 5400 block of West U.S. 10, PM Twp.

– 8:58 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Jagger Rd. and Jebavy Dr., Hamlin Twp.

– 10:58 a.m.: Assist to Michigan State Police, crash with injuries, U.S. 31 expressway, Summit Twp.

– 4:22 p.m.: Slide off, no injuries/no damage, Jebavy Dr. and Fountain Rd., Hamlin Twp.

Jan. 18:

– 12:43 a.m.: 49-year-old Ludington man arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, first offense, following a traffic stop at State St. and Reinberg Ave., City of Scottville.

– 2:31 a.m.: 40-year-old Athens, WV man was arrested for OWI, first offense, following a traffic stop at Ludington Ave. and Staffon St. in the City of Ludington.

– 11:15 a.m.: 31-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic violence in the 700 block of North Dennis Rd., Amber Twp.

– 2:10 p.m.: Gas drive-off, $10, 5900 block of West U.S. 10, PM Twp.

– 3:45 p.m.: Alarm activation, 200 S. Jackson Rd., PM Twp.

– 8:25 p.m.: A 28-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs following a traffic stop at Lakeshore Dr. and Jagger Rd. in Hamlin Twp.

– 10 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, PM Hwy. and Lenz Rd., PM Twp.

Jan. 19:

– 4:30 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, U.S. 31 and Treml Rd., Grant Twp.

– 9:25 a.m.: Alarm activation, 5500 block of West U.S. 10, PM Twp.

– 1:40 p.m.: 29-year-old Walhalla man arrested for driving while license suspended, second offense, following a traffic stop at First St. and Gibson Rd., Branch Twp.

– 2 p.m.: One vehicle rollover crash, minor injuries, southbound U.S. 31 expressway near Chauvez Rd. overpass, PM Twp.; 41-year-old Grand Haven man lost control of his vehicle on snowy road, left roadway and rolled over. Life EMS, Ludington Fire Dept. and PM Fire Dept. also responded.

– 7:15 p.m.: One vehicle rollover crash with injuries, Stiles Road north of Fountain Rd., Victory Twp.; 55 -year-old Ludington man was traveling north on Stiles Road and lost control on snow covered road and rolled over. A 51-year-old Ludington woman, a passenger, and a 74-year-old Ludington woman passenger were both injured and transferred to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital by Life EMS. Grant Twp. Fire Dept. and Life EMS both responded to the scene as well.

– 10:54 p.m.: A 19-year-old Ludington man was arrested for DWLS first offense following a traffic stop at the corner of Ludington Ave. and Harrison St. in the City of Ludington.
