Sheriff’s office arrests 2 over weekend

Two people were arrested by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office this weekend in separate incidences.

On Friday, Dec. 27, a 40-year-old Fountain man was arrested on an outstanding Mason County Friend of the Court warrant on West State Street in the City of Scottville. The man’s vehicle had broken down on the street and deputies stopped to assist at 7:06 p.m. After checking the man’s driver’s license, it was discovered there was a warrant out for his arrest with a $12,868 bond. He was lodged in the Mason County jail.

On Sunday, Dec. 29, a 51-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Wayne County Friend of the Court in arrears of $28,931. The arrest occurred at 1:35 p.m. on Bonnie Street in Pere Marquette Township. She is lodged in the Mason County jail awaiting extradition to Wayne County.

Dec. 28:

– 6:38 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, U.S. 31 expressway south of U.S. 10, Amber Twp.

– 3:15 p.m.: Vehicle slid off of road, Lakeshore and Rohrmoser Road, PM Twp.

– 4:22 p.m.: Citation issued for driving while license suspended, first offense, following traffic stop on U.S. 10 and Nelson Rd., PM Twp, 22-year-old Scottville man cited.

– 6:54 p.m.: Two vehicle rear-end crash, minor injuries, U.S. 10 and PM Hwy, PM Twp. Vehicle stopped for traffic light and was rear-ended. Minor damage to both vehicles and a passenger in the lead vehicle sustained minor injury.

– 7:28 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Lakeshore Drive south of Jagger Road, Hamlin Twp.

– 8:05 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Custer Road south of Free Soil Road, Free Soil Twp.

– 11:20 p.m.: Assist to Ludington Police Dept., Rath and Melendy, City of Ludington.

– 11:40 p.m.: Gas drive off of $26, Airport EZ Mart, PM Twp.

Dec. 29:

– 11:09 a.m.: Damaged property, 1900 S. PM Hwy, PM Twp.

– 2:42 p.m.: Single vehicle crash, no injuries, Lakeshore Drive and Decker Rd., Hamlin Twp.

– 2:50 p.m.: Two vehicle broadside crash, no injuries, Angling Rd. and Jebavy Dr., Hamlin Twp.
