Ball drop will be expanded

September 23, 2013

LUDINGTON — The Downtown Ludington Board is expected to expand the popular New Year’s Eve ball drop to include more activities. This year will be the fifth annual ball drop.

The event will not only provide its traditional adult activities, like a bar area in the North James Street plaza, but will also include family and children events at the Ludington library and Sandcastles Children’s Museum.

The board is asking City Council to close Ludington Avenue between Harrison Street and Rath Avenue and also James Street south to Loomis Street. The City Council may decide that during its regular meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building on South Harrison Street.
