LANSING — Mason County Road Commission (MCRC) mapping technician Ted Weinert was recently honored by the County Road Association (CRA) of Michigan with a Distinguished Service Award at the 2025 CRA Highway Conference.

Distinguished Service Awards recognize road agency staff and commissioners who have dedicated their time and service in an outstanding manner to the advancement of the county road and bridge system in Michigan.

Weinert’s service with MCRC began in 1988 as a surveyor and project design technician. Following his retirement from that position, he has continued to work with the road commission over the years to keep mileage certification maps updated and continue to modernize and archive MCRC’s systems.

“Ted is a great example of how dedicated county road agency staff are to their colleagues and community,” said Denise Donohue, CRA CEO. “Despite retiring from MCRC once and then his own consulting business, Ted continues to find new ways to help the county road agency network.”
