The following is police activity in Mason County over the weekend:

Friday, April 4, 2025:

• 12:45 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 43-year-old Scottville man was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated, driving while license suspended and operating without a license following a single-vehicle crash, Bradshaw Road near Hogenson Road, Riverton Township. The man was treated at Corewell Health Ludington Hospital for minor injuries sustained in the crash and was then lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 8:50 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), damaged property — the back window of a truck was broken, 1100 block of Lancer Lane, Pere Marquette Township.
• 10:35 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 65-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving an unregistered vehicle following a traffic stop near Loomis Street and Lakeshore Drive, City of Ludington. 
• 2:03 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Scottville Road south of Conrad Road, Custer Township.
• 4:30 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, 4800 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
• 7:14 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, with injury, Federal Forest Trail #5540 south of Nurnberg Road, Grant Township. A 66-year-old Free Soil man was injured after the ATV he was operating overturned on top of him while he was riding a trail.
• 10:40 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Rasmussen Road west of Lancer Lane, Pere Marquette Township.

Saturday, April 5, 2025:

• 12:57 a.m., (LPD), a 42-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving without insurance following a traffic stop near Staffon and Diana streets, City of Ludington .
• 3:22 a.m., (LPD), a 67-year-old Ludington man was arrested for methamphetamine possession, cocaine possession, methadone possession and operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop near Ludington Avenue and Staffon Street, City of Ludington.  He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 10:37 a.m., (MCSO), damaged property, 2300 block of North US 31, Victory Township. A vehicle was damaged with small dents.
• Noon, (MSP), a 42-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on a warrant issued by the Grand Rapids Police Department for forgery, 5000 block of Barton Street, City of Ludington.
• 2:07 p.m., (LPD), a 61-year-old Ludington man was cited for public intoxication near Washington Avenue and Melendy Street, City of Ludington. He was transported to the ER for medical treatment and was issued an appearance citation to appear at the 79th District Court. 
• 6:17 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Fountain Road east of Darr Road, Sherman Township.
• 6:24 p.m., (MCSO), damaged property and personal protection order violation, Darr and Johnson roads, Custer Township. A man allegedly rear-ended the vehicle of someone who has a protection order against him and left the scene. The case remains under investigation.
• 9:16 p.m., (LPD), a 39-year-old Hart man was cited for driving while license suspended following a traffic stop near US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
• 9:50 p.m., (LPD), a 23-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for methamphetamine possession and probation violation during a property check at Legacy Plaza, City of Ludngton. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail. 
• 9:52 p.m., (LPD), a 22-year-old Allendale man was arrested for second-offense operating while intoxicated and transporting open intoxicants following a traffic stop near Washington and Ludington avenues, City of Ludington. He was lodged at the Mason County Jail. 

Sunday, April 6, 2025:

• 2:14 a.m., (LPD), a 49-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop, 300 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.  
• 3:22 a.m., (LPD), a 37-year-old Montague man was arrested for reckless driving and disorderly conduct following a traffic stop near Tinkham Avenue and Emily Street, City of Ludington.  He was lodged in the Mason County Jail. 
• 3:05 a.m., (LPD), a 31-year-old Ludington man was cited for no operator’s license on person following a traffic stop near US 10 and Nelson Road, Pere Marquette Township.
• 7:05 a.m., (MCSO), a 44-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop, Ludington Avenue and Rowe Street, City of Ludington.
• 9:30 p.m., (MSP), two-vehicle crash, US 10 near Nelson Road, Pere Marquette Township. A 51-year-old Scottville man and his passenger — a 35-year-old Ludington woman — suffered minor injuries. The other driver — a 46-year-old Scottville woman — was not injured.
