Jan Dunham
Janice Aileen Dunham, 69, of Ludington, died Saturday March 22, 2025, in Grand Rapids, with her son and honorary daughter by her side.
Janice was born June 12, 1955 to Aileen and Gerald Revord.
Jan spent the majority of her working years at Oakview Medical Facility as a nurses aide, and Lincoln Hills Golf Club as a cook.
In Jan’s young adulthood she enjoyed playing bingo with her mom at the Danish Brotherhood Hall in Ludington. She also enjoyed dancing to all of her favorite country songs throughout her life.
In March of 1972, Jan welcomed her one and only child, her beloved son Christopher Jason. The two shared an indescribable and unbreakable bond. With the help of Chris, Jan was blessed with a whole extra family, bursting at the seams with love.
To know Jan was to love her. To know Jan was to be loved. You could walk up to her a stranger but you will leave her a friend and if you’re lucky enough, family. She was always giving love and cheering everyone up with her silly nature and contagious laugh. During her final days she was lifted up in celebration with most of her siblings and all of her grandchildren by her side, playing her favorite songs and just being together. In those moments Jan was truly as happy as can be.
Jan is preceded in death by her mother and father, her cherished and very much missed shih-tzu Louis, and her brother in law Alvin Prange
She is survived by her son Christopher J. Ward; her honorary daughter Belinda Saucedo; her grandchildren Miranda Cogle, Lauren Ward-Saucedo, Christopher D. Ward, Wynter Ward and Bianca Saucedo; her great-grandchildren Grayson Cogle, Gabriel Wheaton and Lola Ward-Saucedo; her siblings: brother, John (Glinda) Revord and sisters, Margaret (Gary) VanAntwerp, Patricia Gilbert, her twin Joan Prange and Gerri (Brian) Schultz; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and there are plans for a Celebration of Life this summer.
