Debbie Soberalski
Deborah Susanne Soberalski, 70, of Ludington, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Oakview Medical Care Facility in Ludington.
Deb was born February 6, 1955, in Ludington, the daughter of Virginia (Mathews) and Gerald Soberalski. She graduated from Mason County Central High School in 1974. Debbie worked at Viking Arms Motel in Ludington, MacPhail Field in Scottville, NSI Dry Cleaners in Ludington and Memorial Medical Center of West Michigan, from which she retired.
Deb raised two children and devoted her life to them. She was a humble lady and had a kind and giving heart. She was called “Little Debbie” by many and it was always said with affection.
She loved to play bingo and go to the casino and spent much time with her mother, grandmother and daughter playing cards. She coached t-ball and softball teams when her children were young. As a grandmother, she was always checking in on her grandchildren to see how they were doing and what they were involved in. She even made up a silly motivational song to sing to Sawyer before his soccer games and brought joy and laughter in doing so.
Deb was able to move into her parents’ home after they passed and was able to make it a loving place for friends and family to visit.
Deb is survived by her children, Tammy (Dave Wildfong) Lowe and Gary (Tanya) Soberalski; her grandchild, Sawyer Wildfong and her step-grandchildren, Mikaylah and Ethan McVicker and Alec VonSprecken. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary “Cookie” Soberalski and brother-in-law Jeff Warden along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother, Laura Lamrock; her siblings, Doug Soberalski and Darlene Warden; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from noon to 3 p.m. at Pere Marquette Township Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
