PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — The Lakeshore Mama and Me Expo will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ludington Elementary School. The event is being presented by the West Shore Educational Service District’s Great Start Collaborative, Common Grace Birth Support and Shore Family Chiropractic.
As part of the event closing, families will be invited to listen to the keynote speaker, Kirah Johnson, on “Building Your Village” from 1 to 2 p.m.
The Lakeshore Mama & Me Expo aims to provide community resources, information, and support to expectant families, those with babies, breastfeeding mothers, and families with older children (ages up to 8) through various table booths or breakout sessions.
The event will feature a variety of activities including a book walk featuring “Where to Hide Star.” After reading and receiving the book for free. Families will have the chance to explore the wonders of the universe with the WSESD MiSTEM Nework StarLab. An activity center will also be held in the school gym. Kids will be able to enjoy a little obstacle course, shoot some hoops, and get their face painted.
