PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — Footprints in the snow led to the arrest of an 18-year-old Ludington man who is accused of stealing US mail on Jebavy Drive near Rasmussen Road early Saturday morning, Feb. 15, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The man was arrested after a Mason County sheriff’s deputy stopped to check on him as he walked along Jebavy Drive shortly after 5 a.m., said Sheriff Cole. “Once the male was released from the contact, the deputy followed the suspect’s footprints in the snow and found several pieces of mail from various mailboxes in the area.”

- 8:30 a.m., (MCSO), a 56-year-old Saginaw woman was cited for driving while license suspended following a traffic stop, US 10 and Tuttle Road, Custer Township.
- 10:57 a.m,. (MCSO), car/deer crash, minor injury, Masten Road north of Washington Road, Logan Township.
- 12:04 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, minor injury, US 31 and Dewey Road, Sherman Township.
- 4:05 p.m., a 34-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding Mason County failure to appear warrant, 5300 block of North Victory Park Road, Victory Township.
- 9:51 p.m., a 53-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding Mason County failure to appear warrant, Broadway Avenue and Main Street, City of Scottville.
Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025:
- 9:45 p.m., (MCSO), a 55-year-old Scottville woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop, Main and State streets, City of Scottville.
Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025:
- 2:20 a.m., (MCSO), a warrant for a charge of failure to report a crash is being requested for a 19-year-old Manistee woman after a one-vehicle crash, US 10 and Stiles Road, Amber Township. No one was injured.
- 12:55 p.m., (MCSO), a 48-year-old Manistee man was cited for driving while license suspended following a traffic stop, US 10 and Dennis Road, Amber Township.
- 4:53 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive south of Bryant Road, Pere Marquette Township.
- 10:56 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 41-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on a bench warrant issued by Mason County’s 79th District Court, South James and Danaher streets, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
