LUDINGTON — Smith & Eddy Insurance, in collaboration with Auto-Owners Insurance, recently contributed to the renovation of Hawley Gymnasium at Ludington High School with the addition of a new scorer’s table. The $11,000 donation was part of a broader effort to modernize the gym as part of the school’s overall bond improvements.
“This wasn’t a typical request, but once we learned that the existing scorer’s table was integrated into the old bleachers and no longer fit the new gym layout, we saw a great opportunity to support the school,” said Scott Smith, president of Smith & Eddy Insurance. “With the help of Auto-Owners, we were proud to make this idea a reality.”
Representatives of Smith & Eddy worked closely with Ludington High School Greg Psconda, Ludington Area School District athletic director, and Auto-Owners Insurance’s marketing team to bring the project to life.
“Giving back to the communities we serve is a core value for both Smith & Eddy and Auto-Owners,” Smith added. “The timing aligned perfectly, and we’re grateful to have played a role in enhancing the gym for student-athletes, coaches, and fans.”
