Ron Crilley
William Ronald “Ron” Crilley, 85, of Ludington, formerly of Garden City, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
Ron was born April 8, 1939, the son of James and Mary Crilley. He worked for Detroit Diesel for many years and retired to Ludington. On November 25, 1970, Ron married the love of his life, Sherry. They raised five daughters. Ron was a devoted member of St. Simon Parish in Ludington where he enjoyed being an usher. Ron loved his family, fishing on Hamlin Lake and riding his bike all over town with his dog Buddy riding in the basket. He enjoyed spending time with his family and puttering around his yard. He never passed on going to see a beautiful sunset on Lake Michigan with his daughters.
Ron is survived by four of his daughters, Cathy (Mike) Claus, Barbara (Bob) Ericksen, Linda (Todd) Buhler and Terri (Mel) Louis; grandchildren, Amanda (Chris Piper) Claus, Kelsey (Connor) Huck, Austin (Cara Lazar) Buhler, Jennifer and Robert Ericksen, Stephanie (Brandon) Stillwell, Mel (Nicole) Louis, Jason, James and Brian Crilley and Tiffany Walters. Ron had 15 great-grandchildren.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister and daughter Bridget.
Memorial services will be set for a future date.
