LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:
Felonies
Benjamin Meyer
-Benjamin Carl Meyer, 51; three counts of felony firearms, possession of a short-barreled shotgun/rifle, receiving and concealing stolen property between $1,000 to $20,000, and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy); offense date Sept. 9, 2024; arrested by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Feb. 5; preliminary hearing: Feb. 26; bail: $50,000 cash.
Benyo
-Alys Jean Benyo, 36; possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy) and passenger transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle; arrested Jan. 29 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Jan. 30; preliminary hearing: Feb. 19; bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.
Knapp
-Justin Charles Knapp, 48; possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy), failure to maintain security (no car insurance), and second offense driving while license suspended; arrested Jan. 29 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Jan. 30; preliminary hearing: Feb. 19; bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.

-Kaine Alexander Linstrom, 29; second offense domestic violence and fourth-degree child abuse; arrested Feb. 3 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Feb. 4; pretrial: Feb. 24; bail: $2,500/10 percent.
-Kip Ivran McCray, 52; operating a vehicle while intoxicated; arrested Jan. 30 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Jan. 31; pretrial: March 3; bail: $2,500 personal recognizance.
-Wesley Ashton Ayers, 32; failure to maintain security (no car insurance); offense date March 31, 2024; charged by Michigan State Police; arraigned Jan. 30; pretrial: Feb. 24; bail: $250 cash.
-Robert William Pierce, 44; second offense driving while license suspended, failure to maintain security (no car insurance), and unlawful license plates; arrested Dec. 31 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Jan. 30; pretrial: Feb. 10; bail: personal recognizance.
-Daniel Richard Madden, 57; driving while license suspended; arrested Jan. 17 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Jan. 30; pretrial: Feb. 24; bail: personal recognizance.
-Abraham Necoli-Nelson Finley, Jr., 27; driving while license suspended; arrested Jan. 13 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Jan. 30; pretrial: Feb. 24; bail: personal recognizance.
-Benjamin Aaron Jansen, 30; selling/furnishing alcohol to a minor; arrested Jan. 16; arraigned Jan. 30; pleaded guilty.
-Mark Harvey Glossinger, 40; driving while license suspended; arrested Jan. 18 by Michigan State Police; arraigned Jan. 30; pretrial: Feb. 24; bail: personal recognizance.
-Steven Thomas Wirt, 43; improper license plates and operating without security (no car insurance); arrested Jan. 8 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Jan. 30; pretrial: Feb. 24; bail: personal recognizance.
-Curt Douglas York, 54; second offense driving while license suspended; arrested Jan. 6 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Jan. 30; pretrial: Feb. 24; bail: personal recognizance.
