Patti Porter
Patricia Ann Porter, 64, of Ludington, entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 18, 2025, while surrounded by family, after a long battle of diabetes.
Patti was born on August 28, 1960, the daughter of Robert and Florence Terryn. She attended school in Whitehall, class of 1978. Patti married Steve Porter in September of 1980 until September of 2019; they had three children. She dedicated her life to her family as a stay-at-home mother and enjoyed many years of catering.
Patti was known as the life of the party, even when there was no party. She was a wild, free spirited people person. She always brought humor wherever she went. She had a deep love for her dogs, loved camping and new adventures.
Patti is survived by Steve Porter; her sisters Roberta Schmuhl and Mary Jo Terryn; her children, Chris Porter, Troy (Jody) Porter and Tricia Kruer; granddaughters, Madison and Alivia Steffens; grandsons Ayden, Kaiden, and Landon Porter; uncle, Jack Courtland; aunts, Beatrice Hipley, Joanne Bordon and Donna Terryn; nieces, nephews, cousins and many others that became like family.
Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Robert John Terryn and Florence Sylvia (Courtland) Terryn; brother, Thomas Leo Terryn; sister, Rachel Sue (Terryn) Falconer; and aunt, Phyllis Ruzgis.
There will be a celebration of life in the warmer months, where she wished for her cremated remains to be scattered. The family will announce details at a later time on Facebook.
