Tod Howel
Tod Howard Howell, 56, of Scottville, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025. Tod was born on April 27, 1968, to Carl Howard Howell and Susan Kay (Murphy) Howell.
Tod graduated from Mason High School in 1986. He then earned his bachelor’s degree in special education at Central Michigan University. Tod worked as a special education teacher at Mason County Eastern Schools for 28 years. He married Michele (Nielsen) Howell on October 19, 1996.
Tod also worked as an inventory coordinator at Meijer, and a union representative. He attended Crossroads Church, and enjoyed fishing, golfing, and gardening. He was also a roadie for the band, Onager.
Tod is survived by his wife, Michele Howell; son, Jonah Howell; daughters, Emma (Ben) Doolittle and Leah Howell; mom, Susan Howell; brothers, Tim Howell and Tom Howell; and grandson, Carl Tod Howell. His smile, that always ‘lit up’ the room, will be greatly missed!
Tod is preceded in death by his father, Carl Howell.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 1 p.m., at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington. Visitation begins at noon at the funeral home.
