LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:
-Brooke LeeAnn Avery, 32, pleaded guilty on January 8 to driving while license not valid and operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) and was sentenced to 21 days in jail (suspended sentence) and $250 in fines/costs.
-Jessica Lavon Ostrander, 45, pleaded guilty on January 8 to a reduced charge of disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to two days in jail and $300 in fines/costs. The original charge of domestic violence was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
-Volney Clark Elkins, 35, pleaded guilty on January 8 to public intoxication and was sentenced to 90 days in jail (suspended sentence), must not have or use drugs or alcohol, subject to random PBTs, must have a substance abuse evaluation, and must attend AA two times per week.
-Edward John Thompson, Jr., 71, pleaded no contest on January 8 to driving while license suspended and was sentenced to 93 days in jail (suspended sentence) and $515 in fines/costs.
-Terri Lynn Cole, 47, pleaded guilty on January 8 to disorderly person disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days in jail (suspended sentence) and $125 in fines/costs. A charge of malicious use of telecommunications services was dismissed as part of a plea agreement
