The following is recent police activity in Mason County:
Monday, Jan. 6, 2024:
- 6:27 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Taylor Road, Branch Township.
- 10:30 a.m., (MCSO), larceny, 6500 block of North Arrowhead Drive, Victory Township. The complainant reported that a cabinet ordered via Amazon was missing.
- 1:26 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway south of Hawley Road, Summit Township.
- 1:47 p.m., (MCSO), a 44-year-old Fountain man was arrested after he turned himself in at the sheriff’s office on a Mason County failure to warrant, City of Ludington.
- 1:50 p.m., (MCSO), a 20-year-old Manistee man was arrested after he turned himself in at the sheriff’s office on two outstanding Mason County warrants, City of Ludington. One charge was for failure to appear, and the second charge was for failure to stop and identify following a crash.
- 8:55 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Townline Road west of Alexander Road, Victory Township.
- 10:36 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Scottville Road north of Meisenheimer Road, Eden Township.
Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025:
- 7:20 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Ordway Road north of Anthony Road, Eden Township.
- 7:50 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 33-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for two warrants and fentanyl possession following a traffic stop near Melendy and Emily streets, City of Ludington. The warrants were issued in Midland County for failure to appear for a civil matter and failure to appear for a charge of dangerous drugs. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 9 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Custer Road north of Sugar Grove Road, Sherman Township.
