Jeremy Alan Hawke, 31, passed away at home, on Thursday, December 12, 2024 in Ludington. Due to wishes, Jeremy will be cremated and a celebration of life for family will be held at a later date.
Jeremy was born on May 11, of 1993 in Big Rapids to the late Alice McGinnis and Barry Hawke. He attended Mason County Central schools where many of his teachers and friends knew him as JHawke and would greet him by saying, “Kaaa Kaw!” He graduated with the class of 2011 and was so proud of himself, that he never took off his class ring.
He loved listening to music and always playing music-type games on his phone. He would listen to just about anything, as he was raised on multiple genres. Puzzle books were also a fun thing he enjoyed. He always caught a Detroit Tigers game and a Detroit Lions game when it was on and a NASCAR race, along with WWE on Mondays. He was a huge fan of sports; football and baseball as one of his favorite football teams were the Dallas Cowboys, which was also his mother’s favorite, and the Texans. You’d always catch him watching Disney Channel, as he was a kid at heart, and the show “Blue Bloods.”
Growing up, Jeremy was close to his grandfather, Antonius, who he would always go fishing with, as it was one of their favorite things to do together. When he was younger, he would also lay on the laundry room floor, with his cars, and make his own race car track and pretend he was a NASCAR driver saying how cool it would be to be one.
Jeremy’s family meant a lot to him. He had nieces that he loved spending time with, too! Jeremy was preceded in death by his parents, Alice McGinnis and Barry Hawke; his paternal and maternal grandparents; and his sister, Amanda Hawke.
Jeremy will be greatly missed by his sisters, Ashley (Alex) Mason of Ludington, and Amber McGinnis (Corey Failing) of Scottville; his nieces, Rosalyn Hawke and Madelyn Mason also of Ludington; hHis three brothers on his dad’s side; multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins on his mother and father’s side.
