Muriel Irma Mitchell, 87, of Scottville, formerly of Manistee passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024.
Muriel was born on February 03, 1937, to Roy and Irma (Pepper) McLellan of Manistee.
She retired from West Shore Hospital in Manistee after 30-plus years of service.
Muriel married Richard James Mitchell in 1953 and had five children.
Muriel loved visits with family and friends. She loved spending time with her dog Buster. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, watching birds, especially the hummingbirds and she also enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by her daughters Kellie (David) Argue, Michelle Lata, Pamela (Bob) Baron, Diane (Jess) Henry; her son Michael Mitchell; grandchildren; Justin (Marie Kapeller) Argue, Megan (Kyle) Hansen, Devon (Donna Honeycutt) Argue, Sarah (Jason) Olk, Robbie Lata, Kaitlin Lata, Jason (Lois) Potts, Carrie (Jeremy) Rosenau, Paul (Patricia Shepherd) Shively, Ryan (Maggie Little) Shively, Matthew (Colleen) Shively, Jordan Mitchell, Justine Bitler; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her brother William McLellan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Muriel was preceded in death by her husband Richard Mitchell; her grandson Jeffery Potts; great- grandson Dacota Shively; great-grandson Jackson Lata; and her siblings Barb McGuire, Pat Biroth, and Carl McLellan.
Muriel will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends.

Per Muriel’s wishes there will be no services but a small private graveside service for the immediate family.
