PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 43-year-old Howard City, Michigan man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies following a 911 call “reporting a subject removing items from the shelves at Walmart and throwing the product around the store,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The incident occurred Thursday, Nov. 21, shortly before 9 a.m. at the Ludington area Walmart on US 10.
The man was charged with disorderly person and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police, said Sheriff Cole.
Other Mason County Sheriff’s Office activity Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024 includes:
- 8:03 a.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 north of North Scottville Road, Custer Township.
- 3:02 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 east of Meyers Road, Amber Township.
- 5:32 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road south of Decker Road, Amber Township.
- 9:48 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of the Ludington rest area, Summit Township.
- 11:14 p.m., a 48-year-old Scottville woman was arrested on an outstanding Lake County failure to appear warrant following a reported disturbance, 1000 block of Brandy Lane, Pere Marquette Township.
