Woman sentenced to prison for drug delivery

LUDINGTON — A 30-year-old woman was sentenced to 29 months to 40 years in prison for a three-count felony conviction of delivery/manufacture of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Mara Lynn Castro-Delgado pleaded “no contest” to the charges Oct. 8, according to court records. Charges of bringing contraband into jail/prison, possession of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic and a third count of delivery/manufacture of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic were dismissed. Castro-Delgado was ordered to pay $734 in fines and costs.

A charge of possession of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic was dismissed in a second criminal file.

Castro-Delgado pleaded guilty in a third criminal case to two counts of delivery/manufacture of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic. A third charge of delivery/manufacture of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic was dismissed in that case. She was sentenced to a concurrent term of six months to 40 years with credit for 55 days served and $466 in fines and costs, court records state.

In a fourth criminal file, Castro-Delgado pleaded “no contest” to assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced to a concurrent one year term with credit for one year served and $198 in fines and costs.
