Employment: School Crossing Guard
The City of Ludington Police Department is seeking a seasonal permanent part-time school crossing guard.
The work involves traffic control and supervising students crossing the street at Washington and Tinkham avenues. The LPD is looking for individuals who possess the ability to interact well with children of all ages, use good judgment, and have flexible schedules. Ludington Police Department will provide training. Work is performed outdoors in all types of weather conditions and requires the individual to be in good physical condition with good mobility.
Hours: Up to 10 hours per week; all regularly scheduled school days; morning hours, 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. and afternoon hours, 2:45 to 3:45 p.m.
Rate of pay: $20 per hour.
Qualified applicants must possess the following:
- a high school diploma or equivalent
- be 18 years of age
- be a U.S. citizen
- have no felony convictions
Applicants must pass a background check and a pre-employment physical and drug test.
